What aluminium alloys does GAP work with?
We normally use the following aluminium alloys in accordance with EN 1706 and its equivalents to other standards:

Does GAP supply fully finished parts, ready for assembly?
Yes, we supply fully finished parts if required by the customer.
We carry out the casting process and take responsibility for all stages and processes in the supply chain. Among other processes, we perform: machining, leak testing, assembly and surface treatments.

What is the maximum weight of the parts that GAP can manufacture?
On our green sand moulding line, to date, our technicians have been able to produce parts up to 80 kg.
The chemical sand moulding line makes it possible to produce larger parts weighing up to 200 kg.

What quality tests are performed at GAP on a regular basis?
The following quality tests are carried out on a regular basis:
• Mechanical properties: we issue inspection certificates 3.1 according to EN 10204.
• Chemical composition: As with the mechanical properties, we issue inspection certificates 3.1 according to EN 10204.
• X-ray: In our modern facilities, we carry out a frequency inspection of the aluminium castings.
• Penetrating liquids: We have a complete installation to perform liquid penetrant inspections, as well as our own certified personnel to perform this type of tests.
• Dimensional control: Our 3D CNC coordinate measuring system checks the accuracy of our aluminium castings, our models and machined parts.
• Visual control: All parts are visually inspected one by one by our quality technicians.
